Your source for Zeitgeist Movement AwarenessZeitgeist Live is a weekly TV and internet show whose purpose is to raise awareness of a Resource Based Global Economy (RBGE) and its potential to improve every aspect of human life. It is produced by ZM Austin, the local Austin chapter of the Zeitgeist Movement. Through the application of the scientific method for social concern, the Zeitgeist Movement and the Venus Project seek to enable the fluid emergence and implementation of holistic and sustainable technology that will dramatically enhance the standard of living of all humans, while moving toward a more symbiotically sensitive balance between society and nature. It is a vision of intuitive systems, unbridled imagination, and mankind's rediscovery of the family that it is unto itself. |

Meet the ZGL players
Tyson has been an advocate of The Zeitgeist Movement since its inception in 2008. In 2010, he approached TZM Austin members Peter Perez, Chad Fisher, and Eric Summers about creating a show on Austin's public access channel to expand conscious awareness of The Zeitgeist Movement and a Resource Based Economy. Tyson was able to utilize the experience he gained as a producer of his first public access show, Tyson TV, to quickly and efficiently set ZEITGEIST LIVE into motion. The meeting between these four occurred at Bouldin Creek Cafe, a coffee shop whose interior resembled a labyrinth that invitee Ryan Bain was unable to surmount. As Tyson, Eric, Chad, and Peter sat in the back room and began preproduction propelled by a torrent of creative fervor, Ryan sat in the embrace of a cool Austin evening out on the patio, writing and awaiting some sign that the meeting was still on. He left after an hour, assuming that the meeting had been cancelled and his lack of a cell phone had severed his line of communication with the group. The next day, Tyson informed Ryan that the meeting did happen in Ryan's apparent absence. Ryan revealed to Tyson that he had been outside the whole time. At the next meeting, all of the founding members of ZEITGEIST LIVE came together and forged a vision for the first iteration of the show, which was then titled ZEITCHRIST, a promo for which will be available in the Season 1 Archive.
Ryan has been a member of The Zeitgeist Movement since its inception in 2008. He is thrilled to put his Radio/TV/Film degree to use on ZEITGEIST LIVE. His responsibilities on the show include finding and editing roll-in material (Transformative Technology, promos, transitions, ect), video switching, editing episodes for the web, and maintaining zeitgeistlive.tv. When he's not working on ZEITGEIST LIVE, he enjoys writing songs and stories, reading cerebral fiction, alternative history, and tribal anthropology, playing guitar and video games, and setting off on shamanic journeys.
Eric wrecks shop as the ZEITGEIST LIVE Floor Director. He is responsible for lighting, camera positions, ScanDo operation, and camera work as needed. He also does all graphic design for the show. When not working on ZEITGEIST LIVE, Eric enjoys juggling, freerunning, philosophizing about physics and the nature of reality, benevolent hacking, and making T-shirts.
Pamela became a Zeitgeist Movement advocate on ZDay 2010. She is responsible for audio, makeup, keeping everyone on schedule during set up and break down, and web design support. When not working on ZEITGEIST LIVE, she enjoys making crafts with recycled materials, vermiculture, gardening, sketching, and healthy cooking.
Chad became involved with ZEITGEIST LIVE soon after his move to Austin from Ohio. Won over by mild winters and warm hearts, Chad is always singing the praises of the Texas Hill Country. During the first season of the show, Chad functioned as the coordinating Director, forging among our rag-tag group a unifying chemistry and common lexicon that remains to this day. Chad took a brief hiatus from the show during the second season to focus on his primary interest outside of ZEITGEIST LIVE: comedy. Since his arrival in Austin, Chad has produced several comedy videos rooted in the theme of replacing the current fear-laden social paradigm with a system founded and inspired by love and intelligence. These videos include Alex Jones: Mad as Hell and Nick Putnam: Takin' it to the Streets. Chad returned to ZEITGEIST LIVE in the midst of season two to reprise his legendary Social Commentary segment and support the crew with his wide-ranging technical expertise.
Jenna is the primary camera operator on ZEITGEIST LIVE, and works as support to all of the other crew members. Outside of the show, Jenna is highly involved in activist work: her organization, Love ATX, is sponsoring the Season of Interdependence, a series of events between July 4 and September 12 that promote sustainability, unity, and understanding among the human family. The inaugural event of the Season is Interdependence: Stop, Collaborate, and Listen, which will take place on July 3.
Pete and DeAnna help by promoting ZEITGEIST LIVE from home through Facebook, TeamSpeak, and Twitter. They are both very involved in other aspects of the movement (Pete is the Texas Chapter Co-coordinator and is presently organizing the Austin Artivist Film Festival), but their main focus is raising their kids to be leaders and contributors in an emergent, sustainable society. |
